Robert William Howard (born January 29, 1963) is an American professional wrestler better known by the ring nameHardcore Holly.

He is best known for his tenure in WWE.^[1][2][3][5]

After debuting in 1987, Holly worked for World Organization of Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and other independentpromotions, before joining WWE full-time in 1994.

Initially portraying the character of a NASCAR driver, Thurman "Sparky" Plugg, his name was soon changed to Bob "Spark Plug" Holly. In 1998, under the name of Bombastic Bob, he formed a team with Bart Gunn known as The Midnight Express.

Towards the end of that same year, Howard reverted to the Bob Holly name as he joined the stable titled The J.O.B.
